

Beacon Hill Striders is an independent training group, comprising in the main older teenage athletes. It is open to all ambitious cross-country and middle-distance runners in Leicestershire (& the East Midlands).
Our leading runners have won national/international/Olympic competitions (Ben Dijkstra) or featured prominently in national competitions and UK rankings (Alfie Thompson, Alice Daniel, & Sam Stevens).
Beacon Hill Striders currently has around twenty regular members.
The vast majority of group members have represented Leicestershire / Nottinghamshire and/or the East Midlands Region.

Members of our training group receive:
- An individual/personalised training and racing plan, based on current fitness, experience and personal goals
- Regular monitoring of – and feedback on – progress and performance
- On-going advice, guidance, education & support
- Regular weekly e-mail communication detailing information on training sessions and racing opportunities
In addition to the above, group members receive a regular Academy Newsletter that offers additional information/advice on training practice, profiles of leading athletes (both current and past) from across the globe, historical race videos etc…

Training sessions are open to non-group members, who attend as “Guests”.
