Training Plan

Our upcoming (April) Training Sessions (NB: subject to change) and Key Races are as follows:

  • 03/04: Steady/Hilly Run (60 minutes) @ The Beacon
  • 06/04: Grass Intervals: 2 x 4 x 90 seconds (60 seconds) @ Quorn Cricket Ground
  • 10/04: Tempo/Threshold Running: 4 x 7-8 minutes @ The Beacon
  • 13/04: Tempo Intervals: 4-5 x 1200m @ Charnwood Waters, Loughborough
  • 17/04: Tempo Running (20 minutes) / & 5 x 200m @ The Beacon
  • 20-21/04: BTF Performance Assessments (Nottingham & Loughborough)
  • 24/04: Steady/Hilly Run (60 minutes) @ The Beacon
  • 27/04: Intervals: 7-8 x 2 minutes @ The Outwoods

Beacon Hill Striders training sessions are normally open for non group members to attend as ‘guests’ (no training fees involved) … 

Our run sessions are generally only suitable for sub 18 minute 5K male (or sub 20 minute 5K female) runners.
